78 people. One building. Dongguan.

A pump company that started because someone needed a better pump.

In 2015, three engineers who had spent a decade maintaining vacuum systems at a semiconductor fab in Shenzhen decided to build pumps instead of fixing other people's. They rented a small workshop on the east side of Dongguan and bought one used CNC lathe. The first 50 pumps went to local labs and HVAC shops. They broke more often than they should have. By pump number 200, the failure rate was below 2%. By 2018, we had ISO 9001 and our first export order to Germany.

Here is what actually matters

We build pumps because we are not good at much else.

GOFLEX does not sell bearings. We do not run a marketplace. We do not have a side business in real estate or logistics. Vacuum pumps are the only thing we make, and we make them in one building with one team. That focus shows. When a customer in Brazil emails us at 10pm Dongguan time about a pump that is pulling 3 Pa instead of 1.5 Pa, the reply comes from the engineer who machined the rotor. Not from a chatbot. Not from a sales rep who has never seen the inside of a pump.

We grew because our customers told other people.

We have never spent money on advertising. No trade show booths. No Google Ads. Our first 500 customers came from word of mouth — one lab manager telling another, one distributor telling a competitor. The reason is boring: the pumps work, the price is fair, and when something goes wrong we answer the phone. That is not a growth strategy. It is just what happens when you do the work and do not make excuses.
The paperwork that buyers ask for

Certifications and compliance

We are not going to tell you certifications are exciting. They are not. But they matter when your shipment hits customs or your customer's quality auditor shows up. Here is what we have.

ISO 9001:2015

Certified since 2018. Audited annually by a third-party body. This is not a certificate we framed and forgot. The quality system is real — every pump has a traceable build record, every nonconformance gets a root cause analysis, every corrective action gets verified. If you need the certificate number for your supplier qualification file, ask.

CE Marking

All standard models carry CE marking for the European market. We test to applicable EU directives for machinery safety and electromagnetic compatibility. The Declaration of Conformity ships with the pump. If your country requires a specific notified body number or additional testing, tell us before we build.

Custom Compliance

We have done ATEX-compliant builds for chemical processing. We have done UL-listed motors for North American OEMs. We have done CCC certification prep for Chinese domestic sales. These are not off-the-shelf — they add lead time and cost. But we know how to do them.

The people you will actually talk to

78 people. Not 780. Not 7,800.

We are small enough that you will know the names of the people building your order. Large enough that we have proper CNC lines, a full assembly floor, and test benches that are not just a gauge and a stopwatch. Here is how we are organized.

Engineering — 8 people

Three mechanical engineers, two electrical engineers, two CAD/CAM programmers, one materials specialist. They handle new pump design, OEM adaptations, and production tooling. When you send us a drawing for a custom manifold or a different motor mount, one of these eight people opens the file.

Production — 52 people

CNC operators, assembly technicians, packers. Two shifts. Morning does machining — rotors, housings, end plates. Afternoon does assembly and test. The same person who runs the lathe on Tuesday might be building pumps on Friday. Everyone rotates. Everyone understands the whole pump.

Quality — 6 people

Incoming inspection, in-process checks, final test. Three people on the test benches full-time. They do not report to production — they report to the quality manager, who reports to the general manager. This separation is not on paper. It is in the building layout. The test area is physically walled off from assembly.

Sales & Support — 8 people

Five sales engineers (each covers a region), two after-sales support, one documentation specialist. All of them have spent time on the production floor. When a sales engineer tells you the lead time for a screw pump, it is because they have helped assemble one.

Admin — 4 people

Shipping documents, invoices, customs paperwork, HR. They keep the lights on. They also handle the export documentation that gets your pump through customs in 30 countries without a holdup.

Leadership — 3 people

The three founders. Still here. Still on the floor most days. One runs operations. One runs engineering. One runs sales and finance. If you visit the factory, you will meet at least one of them. They have strong opinions about oil viscosity and bearing clearance.
What we actually believe

Not a mission statement. Just how we work.

We do not have a mission statement framed in the lobby. We have a whiteboard in the assembly area where someone wrote "if you would not buy it, do not ship it." That is about as close as we get to a corporate philosophy.
We think the vacuum pump industry is full of companies that optimize for the wrong things — cheaper castings, faster assembly, lighter packaging. Sometimes those optimizations save money. Sometimes they just create pumps that fail at 14 months. We pick materials and tolerances that last longer than the warranty period. That costs more. It is also why our repeat order rate is over 70%.
We do not pretend to be the cheapest. We are competitive — our pricing usually lands in the middle of the market, below the big German and Japanese brands but above the lowest-cost Chinese factories. If you want the absolute lowest price, there are other factories in Dongguan. If you want a pump that arrives working and stays working, we are worth the conversation.
The short version of our history

Years that mattered

2015

Founded. Three engineers, one used CNC lathe, one rented workshop. First product: a single-stage rotary vane pump, 0.5 L/s. Sold 47 units the first year, all within Guangdong province. Three of them came back for warranty. We fixed all three and redesigned the shaft seal.

2018

ISO 9001 certified. First export order — 30 rotary vane pumps to a German lab equipment distributor. The shipment arrived on time and passed incoming inspection on the first try. That distributor still orders from us. They are now on their 11th purchase order.

2020

Expanded product line. Added claw and screw pump series. Moved to current building — 2,800 square meters, all under one roof. Hired our first dedicated quality team. Started doing OEM for three overseas brands.

2022

5 CNC lines. Added roots booster series. Pumps now shipping to 30+ countries. OEM program grew to 12 distributor partners. Our screw pumps started appearing in semiconductor equipment — not in the fabs directly, but in the tier-2 and tier-3 equipment that feeds them.

2024

50,000th pump shipped. ATEX-compliant builds for chemical processing. UL motor integration for North American OEMs. Our test lab now has automated data logging — every pump gets a digital test record that we archive. You can request the test data from three years ago and we can pull it up.

Now

Same building. Same focus. We are not trying to become the biggest vacuum pump company. We are trying to be the one that buyers trust enough to reorder from. If you have a vacuum application and you want to talk to someone who actually understands the pump, you found the right place.
